Shreveport-Bossier COVID-19 update: Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has instituted a gradual reopening of many businesses with occupancy restrictions, enhanced sanitation, social distancing, personal protection equipment and other appropriate protection measures necessary to protect the health and safety of the people in Louisiana. Although many businesses have been approved for limited reopening, some nonessential businesses will remain closed to the public. Before you visit a business, please call to confirm that they are open, and to find out what restrictions are being enforced.

Summer has arrived, and—while many major events and festivals have been canceled due to COVID-19—there's still so much to safely see and do in Shreveport-Bossier. Shreveport Little Theatre, one of America's longest-running community theatres, will host Virtual Adult Acting Classes beginning on July 11. The Benton Chicken Swap, a farmers' market and—you guessed it—chicken exchange, is a "go" for July 11. American Rose Center will host their 2020 Green Thumb Seminar online, and it's free for all gardening enthusiasts to join. PrizePalooza, an online-only live music festival from Prize Fest, is an innovative, live-streaming music event scheduled for July 19.
