Who produces SBFunGuide.com?
SBFunGuide.com is a project of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. The website was originally made possible through grants from The Community Foundation of Shreveport Bossier, National Endowment for the Arts, City of Shreveport, and Louisiana Division of the Arts.
Who is eligible to have events included in the calendar?
Organizations that produce professional cultural entertainment including art, cultural, sports and recreational events that are open to the general public in the 10-parish NWLA area are eligible to submit events. Adult entertainment will not be accepted, as well as events whose sole purpose is to promote religion or religious philosophy will not be accepted. Events that are not offered to the general public will not be accepted. Be sure to review our categories to ensure your event is relevant to our content.
How can I submit my events?
If your organization produces an event you would like listed on SBFunGuide.com, simply click on the "submit an event" link at the bottom of the page and use the submission form. Information should include name of the event, organization producing the event, venue for the event, date, time, price and organization and/or ticketing website. All events will be reviewed and, if accepted, posted within 5-10 business days.
SBFunGuide.com reserves the right to edit submissions for grammar, style, accuracy and content. We may also omit any events not suitable for the site.
Every event must be submitted at least 10 days prior to its start date. Please be sure to check and see if your event is already listed before submitting it.
All events must be open to the public and occur in the 10-parish area of Northwest Louisiana, Region 7. Those parishes are: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster. Be sure to review our categories to ensure your event is relevant to our content.
Can I change my event information once it is posted?
Yes. You can e-mail info@ShreveportBossierFunGuide.com and we will do it for you. Any changes must be provided in advance, i.e. at least one week prior to the date of the event. In the case of cancellation, or major changes to an event, please contact Pat Gill at (318) 429-0630 immediately.
Who will see this calendar?
SBGuide.com is being marketed to consumers in the Shreveport-Bossier area and out-of-town visitors as the best place for arts and cultural entertainment information. In addition, SBFunGuide.com is being marketed outside the Northwest Louisiana area to attract tourists to our area.
