Spring Events Celebrate Food, Flowers and More
Spring is a busy time for festivals and annual events in Shreveport and Bossier City. New for 2017, the first BLOOM Festival at R.W. Norton Art Gallery will be held, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., on Saturday, April 1. This free event will include botanical garden tours, food trucks, educational programs for kids and more. The Texas Avenue Makers Fair, an enormous arts and crafts fair that takes place on historic Texas Avenue in downtown Shreveport, will also be held on April 1. Other exciting April events include: The Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors BBQ Cook-Off, April 8; Holiday in Dixie, April 14-23; Louisiana Comic Con, April 22-23; and Artbreak, April 24-30.
