Shreveport-Bossier COVID-19 update: Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has instituted a gradual reopening of many businesses with occupancy restrictions, enhanced sanitation, social distancing, personal protection equipment and other appropriate protection measures necessary to protect the health and safety of the people in Louisiana.  The statewide mask mandate has been lifted. However, mask policies in Louisiana will be set by local leaders and business owners. Under the Governor’s new public health order, masks will still be required on public transit and in state government buildings, K-12 schools, early childhood education centers, colleges and universities, and healthcare facilities. Before you visit a business, please call to confirm that they are open, and to find out what restrictions are being enforced at that location.

Heritage and Harvest Tour

Details
Locals and visitors are invited to spend a day in the country exploring the history and culture of the region. Historic homes and farms will be open for public tours as well as other points of interest including businesses, churches and attractions. The Heritage & Harvest Tour begins on Hwy. 3049 north of Shreveport. From Hwy. 3049, follow heritage tour signs to the tour route. Hwy. 71 North will also lead visitors to the tour route by turning at the Dixie, Belcher, or Gilliam turnoffs. Communities along the tour route include Dixie, Belcher, Gilliam, Hosston, Mira and Ida. This is a presentation of the Red River Crossroads Historical and Cultural Association.
