Shreveport-Bossier is the Festival Capital of North Louisiana

Shreveport-Bossier is the festival capital of North Louisiana with more than 60 festivals and annual events throughout the year. The indulgent celebration known as Mardi Gras kicks off the party at the start of the year and the fun continues until December with fireworks festivals and holiday celebrations.

Festival Plaza, located in the heart of downtown Shreveport, sees the most festivals. But other great venues and surrounding communities offer a diversity of things to see, do and experience.

Some of the popular events include: Mudbug Madness Festival, Let the Good Times Roll Festival, Sunflower Trail and Festival, 4th of July Independence Day Celebration, Red River Revel Arts Festival, Prize Fest, and State Fair of Louisiana are just a few cultural fetes.
