The 2019 Walk for Humanity will be held at Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport on Saturday, April 13 at 8 a.m. Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for students ages 13-18 years old and $10 children 12 and under.
The Walk for Humanity Shreveport is a 5K Run/Walk and 1-mile health walk sponsored by The Institute for Global Outreach (IGO). This walk is a community project where people from all walks of life come together to end global suffering. A fundraiser of this nature serves two purposes. It raises funds for destitute children while raising the consciousness of the participants. It also gives them an opportunity to participate and support a local nonprofit that partners directly with local NGOs in developing countries to alleviate needless suffering in the world.
