SleepOut 4 Independence

November 16, 2019

SleepOut 4 Independence is an event hosted by Providence House that aims to raise awareness and educate the community on homelessness. Middle and high schoolers will come out to Independence Stadium and get a real-life feel for what it's like to be homeless for a night. Students will build their own "shelters" with supplies that would typically be found on the street such as cardboard boxes and tape, etc. Throughout the night, campers will participate in design contests, a scavenger hunt, attend a concert by former American Idol contestant, Cameron Theodus and Alive by Sunrise, enjoy food, watch late-night movies, and more.
