The Shreveport City-Wide Sickle Cell Motorcycle Ride is May 26 starting at St. Matthew AME located at 3658 Judson Street in Shreveport.
Registration is from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Riders and passengers are able to purchase patches or t-shirts. After the registration is completed, everyone gathers in the church parking lot to pray before the one hour and 30 minutes road trip. After the ride, everyone gathers inside for a catered lunch. During that time, trophies are presented and there are guest speakers to share how they are living with sickle cell and the effects of it.
Presentations are made to sponsors and plaques given to the highest donors. The day ends with prayer.
