Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards took significant measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Louisiana and has issued a statewide "stay at home" order until April 12, requiring Louisiana residents to shelter in place unless going out for essential tasks, as one of the most stringent steps yet to stanch the “community spread” of COVID-19.

Rod Sim's "Virtually Anything on Anything" Airbrush Show - CANCELED

February 1 - March 31, 2020

The Bossier Arts Council is very excited to present the "Virtually Anything on Virtually Anything Airbrush Show"
by artist Rod Sims on display in our Emerging Artist Gallery February 1-March 31, 2020.

Since childhood, art has become the world Rod has attempted to control. Lacking the athletic prowess of the other neighborhood children, he found solace in the world of art. Early Influences came from comic books and newspaper cartoons. This laid the foundation of his earlier creations. In pencil, pen, markers, pastels, and paint - Rod began to scratch the surface of the wonder and beauty of artistic creativity.

Now influenced by the vehicular art of the '70s, airbrush art captured his fascination. During a brief business career, he had been challenged with adorning his art to the likes of refrigerators, coolers, car seat covers, vehicles, casts on kids, and B-52H aircraft, just to name a few. He has adopted the motto of airbrushing "Virtually Anything on Virtually Anything" as a business slogan. Nothing is "safe" from his art.

The Opening Reception will be held Friday, February 7, 6-8 p.m.
