The queers have arrived, honey. It's time for a total takeover — QUEERPORT 2020 returns ONLINE and will take place the week of October 26-31, culminating on Halloween!
That's right — we are having a macabre celebration of queerness and you're all invited. We have curated daily content for you including a marketplace, workshops, drag performances, story time, studio tours, and more.
This is northwest Louisiana's only 100% produced by queer people, for queer people event!
Our goal is to always have our flagship event be free and open to all ages. Everyone is invited. See the schedule here.
We are still seeking donations for QP, as well as our future LGBTQIA+ arts and resource center. You can donate here: www.gofundme.com/f/queerport-2020
WHAT IS QUEERPORT?
QUEERPORT was designed to give queer creators a platform to write, blog, upload video content, create events, hold fashion shows, and document our history. Our goal is to bring together queer creatives in the South, specifically in northwest Louisiana, to share our stories and create commentary on issues that matter to us. We aspire to empower queer youth and give them alternative resources and programming, offering events and workshops throughout the year. Our long term mission is to build our city’s first LGBTQIA+ arts and resource center.
We can’t wait to see what you create with us. Find out more at queerport.org.
