Shreveport-Bossier COVID-19 update: Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has instituted a gradual reopening of many businesses with occupancy restrictions, enhanced sanitation, social distancing, personal protection equipment and other appropriate protection measures necessary to protect the health and safety of the people in Louisiana. Although many businesses have been approved for limited reopening, some nonessential businesses will remain closed to the public. Before you visit a business, please call to confirm that they are open, and to find out what restrictions are being enforced.

Nature Playdate - CANCELED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

June 9

Every second Saturday of the month, Red River National Wildlife Refuge invites families to experience a nature-themed playdate designed for children ages 4-9. Children can enjoy a day of play in the refuge's Nature Play Area.

To get to the Nature Play Area from the Visitor Center, walk down the boardwalk toward the lake, turn right and follow the green trail into the woods for about 300 feet. The entrance arbor is on the right side of the path.

Play dates will be cancelled if muddy and/or rainy conditions occur.
