Mudbug Madness Festival, sponsored by CenterPoint Energy, features two stages of live Cajun, zydeco, rock, and Americana music as well as a children’s entertainment stage, arts and crafts vendors and food vendors selling popular Louisiana favorites like boiled crawfish, gumbo, jambalaya, boudin and more. The 36th annual Mudbug Madness Festival will take place, May 24-26, 11 a.m.-11 p.m., in downtown Shreveport's Festival Plaza. The festival is organized and presented by Downtown Shreveport Unlimited. Mudbug Madness Festival is open from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily. Admission is free until 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Admission is $5 per person after 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and all day long on Saturday and Sunday. Children younger than 7 years of age and all military with ID are admitted free at all times.
