BUT WAIT, THERE'S EVEN MORE
Stop to at Parish Taceaux for Artwalk specials and to support the Shreveport Water Works Museum. On the night of the Artwalk, a percentage of anything you eat or drink at Parish Taceaux will go to fund the museum when you mention: 'I'm here for the water works!'
The Shreveport Water Works Museum and it's fascinating past will be the story behind History in 5, hosted by Liz Swaine. That talk will be at 6:20 p.m. at Artspace, 708 Texas St., Shreveport. Then, join AIA Shreveport architect Mischa Farrell for Sketch the City at 6:30 p.m. Participants can try their hand at architectural sketching for free! The challenge will be to sketch the old Shreveport Water Works Co.
The Artwalk is also free to attend, but please consider making a purchase of a piece of art at the event, or consider commissioning a piece by an artist. Also, stop in for dinner, a beverage or a snack at one of the many restaurants on the walk, and tell all your friends about the great spaces in downtown Shreveport.
We do this not only because it’s fun and we love it; we do it to help our amazing local artists and businesses grown and get stronger, and sales go a long way in making that happen!
