Shreveport-Bossier COVID-19 update: Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has instituted a gradual reopening of many businesses with occupancy restrictions, enhanced sanitation, social distancing, personal protection equipment and other appropriate protection measures necessary to protect the health and safety of the people in Louisiana.  The statewide mask mandate has been lifted. However, mask policies in Louisiana will be set by local leaders and business owners. Under the Governor’s new public health order, masks will still be required on public transit and in state government buildings, K-12 schools, early childhood education centers, colleges and universities, and healthcare facilities. Before you visit a business, please call to confirm that they are open, and to find out what restrictions are being enforced at that location.

Louisiana Soulfood Fall Festival

August 28 - August 29, 2021

The Louisiana Soul Food Fall Festival will be filled with food and music for your soul. This inaugural festival will be held at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport on Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds.

This event will showcase recording artists, chefs, soul food and fun for the entire family. It will include a Celebrity Greek and Comedy Explosion, Aug. 27 and Pelican Bike and Car Show, Aug. 28.

The bike and car show is August 28, at noon- 6 pm. Admission is $5 per person, proceeds to benefit 360 and PHP outreach programs.

Car Show participants: $20 donation registration per vehicle. Trophies will be awarded for multiple categories. This event will include food and merchandise vendors. This event gives bike and car enthusiasts the opportunity to display and compete as well as spectate multiple styles vehicles.
