The Krewe of Highland Parade will begin at Gilbert and Ockley in Shreveport on Sunday, February 19 at 1 p.m. Attendance is free.
Affectionately known as Shreveport’s most eccentric krewe, the Krewe of Highland is famous for throwing unusual items like hot dogs, rubber chickens, Capri Sun pouches, MoonPies, Ramen packages, and meatballs in Ziploc bags. Additionally, homemade floats always have been a staple of this unique parade - in fact, they are encouraged! This parade rolls through the historic Highland neighborhood and begins at Gilbert Drive and Ockley Drive in Shreveport.
The theme this year is “Highland Goes Greek.”
The Krewe of Highland Parade will feature a day of fun with floats and more rolling through the historic Highland Neighborhood in Shreveport.
