The Krewe of Gemini XXXIV Grand Parade will be held in downtown Shreveport, starting at the intersection of Clyde Fant Parkway and Lake Street on Saturday, February 18 at 3 p.m. Attendance is free.
The Krewe of Gemini is the first parading Krewe in modern times in Shreveport and Bossier City, Louisiana. In 1990, the first Krewe of Gemini parade was held in Shreveport-Bossier. Today, masked revelers on floats, marchers, and horseback riders respond to the age-old cry “Throw me something, Mister!” by tossing beads, toys, and trinkets.
This year’s theme is “Ain’t No Party Like a Gemini Party.”
