Shreveport-Bossier COVID-19 update: Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has instituted a gradual reopening of many businesses with occupancy restrictions, enhanced sanitation, social distancing, personal protection equipment and other appropriate protection measures necessary to protect the health and safety of the people in Louisiana. Although many businesses have been approved for limited reopening, some nonessential businesses will remain closed to the public. Before you visit a business, please call to confirm that they are open, and to find out what restrictions are being enforced.

Hope For Heroes

July 18, 2020

Hope for Heroes is an inaugural 11 mile run/walk/ruck (walk while carrying a weighted pack or vest) to benefit first responders starting at 7 a.m., Saturday, July 18. The race will start at Christ Fit Gym located at 1040 Chinaberry Dr., Bossier City.

Military and first responder suicide is at an all-time high. The American Heroes supports our heroes with job placement, medical care, and gym memberships. Join us as we honor our heroes struggling with PTSD and support them in their time of need!

Race entry fee is $25.  Participant’s will receive a t-shirt, smoothie, and top finisher’s will receiving custom medals. All funds will directly go to the American Hero NPO, which helps military and first responders receive a variety of resources to help combat any issues they may be experiencing.
