The Bossier Arts Council is very excited to present this year's Bossier Parish Student Art Show, "Beneath The Surface." It will be on display in our East Bank Gallery and Emerging Artist Gallery from Dec. 1 - January 31.
This year's theme encourages students from Bossier Parish's elementary, middle and high schools to produce
artworks that best express their limitless creativity and imagination. This show represents up-and-coming young artists.
Freedom of expression is a fundamental value that art instills in students and the purpose of this show is to provide them with the opportunity to showcase their creative visions and artistic ideas through producing original works of art.
The Bossier Arts Council will accept various media including, painting, drawing, collage, graphic art, print, as well as digital and traditional photography. All works must be tagged and “ready to hang.” Due to spacial limitations, we can only accept one entry per student. Students may also submit their work in two dimensional or three-dimensional formats.
Deadline for entries is 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 17.
The Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 11 from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.
at the Bossier Arts Council located at 630 Barksdale Boulevard, Bossier City, LA 71111. The Bossier Arts Council will be awarding $1500 in prizes this year.
