Robinson Film Center in downtown Shreveport will host an evening of contemporary Mexican food and cinema at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 30. Ticket includes tequila tasting and tequila-influenced Mexican dinner with specialty hand-crafted margaritas available for purchase. In order to attend this event, guests must be 21 or older. Tickets are $22-$29. The evening will include dinner and a screening of the documentary film Agave: The Spirit of a Nation.
If you love tequila, this is the night for you! Agave: The Spirit of a Nation follows the families that have toiled the Mexican land for generations cultivating and distilling the agave plant. The Austin Chronicle says, “With strikingly beautiful cinematography, the film celebrates the hard labor that goes into each margarita.” In Spanish and English with English subtitles.
