    Event Description

    The Mardi Gras season kicks off with the first parade of the year on February 22, 2013 beginning downtown on Clyde Fant Parkway at 4:30 p.m., featuring decorative floats, bands, cups, and over four million beads to throw when they hear “Throw me something Mister!”

    PARADE ROUTE - Parade begins at Clyde Fant Parkway at Lake Street. It continues on Clyde Fant Parkway to Shreveport-Barksdale Highway. The parade then takes a left on to East Kings Highway and continues to Preston Avenue, where it ends.
