ABOUT OUR ARTIST
Jennifer Hendry was born in 1964 in Abilene, Texas, and grew up in beautiful East Texas. Having a fine artist and professor as a mother helped Jennifer develop an appreciation for art and especially her love of colors and their interactions with one another. Even though she has always been very interested in painting, only in the last few years has she devoted herself to art and experimenting with colors and pigments. Although she has painted landscapes and still life in oils, she most recently has been painting abstract works with acrylics and resin. "My paintings are about the way the colors dance and combine and how that interaction changes our perception of them. The different densities of the pigments cause them to sink into each other or float on my surface forming beautiful organic interchanges of color. I very often have an image in mind of what I want as a final result but more often than not the paint takes over and leads me in another direction. My intention is to express my inner joy and create beautiful images for others to enjoy."
Food and wine pairings are a collaboration by Chef Monday and the award-winning culinary team at 1800° Prime Steakhouse and by Eagle Distributing. The event is $25 per person and you pay at the door the night of the event.
