Located in the heart of downtown Shreveport on Spring Street, the Multicultural Center of the South offers visitors the chance to explore and learn about different cultures in Northwest Louisiana. Saturday, July 29, the Multicultural Center will share the foods of these cultures at its 12th annual “Taste of Culture” fundraising event from 6-9 p.m. at DiamondJacks Casino & Hotel. NBC 6 News’s Marquel Sennet will serve as emcee for the evening and entertainment will be provided by The Lacour Trio.
DiamondJack’s chefs and Chef Al Barron of Jazz It Up Seasoning will prepare samples of Creole, Cajun, Korean and other ethnically diverse foods. Proceeds from the event will help support educational programs at the Multicultural Center. Tickets can be purchased for $50 at www.mccsouth.org.
