7th Annual Red River Cleanup

November 1, 2017

On the first Saturday of November, residents from Shreveport and Bossier show their community pride by gathering along the Red River to remove trash and debris from the water and it's surrounding areas.

For the past six years, more than 1,630 volunteers have participated in clearing 49,436 pounds of trash from the Red River and its surrounding areas. Volunteers can ride on boats (life jackets provided) or shuttle buses to designated areas along the river to clean.

Everything you need, gloves, water, trash pickers, trash bags, free event day t-shirt and backpack, will be provided for you.

Free lunch is provided for all volunteers and a chance to win awesome prizes at the Crazy Trash Contest.
